During the first fact finding mission, Patrick Loeb met with representatives of the National Bank of Georgia, the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and Association of Banks of Georgia. During the 4 day mission that was accomplished on April, 26, GBDS expert had constant communication with DIA staff, he got acquainted with ordinary working schedule and ongoing tasks carried out by the Agency.

Based on the gathered information, legal acts and the policy documents of the Agency, the expert, together with his colleagues, also involved in the program, will provide consultative assistance on the issues of deposit insurance system development and investment policy.

At the next stage of the Technical Assistance Program 2 GBDS experts will visit the Agency. GBDS is a Berlin-based consulting company providing expertise in financial and banking fields.
