From January 1, 2024, the maximum reimbursable amount of insured deposits will increase from 15 000 GEL to 30 000 GEL. The Decision was approved by the Deposit Insurance Supervisory Board in February, 2023.

Georgian Law on “Deposit Insurance System” implies periodic review of coverage level to maintain its compliance with market developments. Decision on increase of coverage level ensures further alignment to respective EU Directive and best international practice.
