The Agency applied for IADI (International Association of Deposit Insurers) membership in the fall of the current year in agreement with the Supervisory Board. After the relevant procedures, the application was approved and the Agency officially became a member of IADI.

IADI is the main international platform of cooperation in the field of deposit insurance around the world. Within the framework of the Association, there are various committees, in which member countries share all recent developments, experiences and plans. Additionally, IADI holds Annual Meetings, where officials from leading countries gather for summary discussions.

IADI membership is an important step forward for further strengthening and development of Deposit Insurance System in Georgia. This platform will ensure Georgia’s full involvement in international cooperation. The membership will enable the Agency to have constant access to updated information and ongoing developments, share experience and receive technical assistance from strategic partners in order to be in line with best international practice in the field of deposit insurance.

Moreover, being an IADI member gives Georgia opportunity to organize high-level meetings.
